However when playing RDR2 or Fortnite my Xbox sometimes goes black screen for a second, then the picture comes back and after a while the same thing happens again. With the Standard (Recommended) setting and 8-bit color space I get the best picture out of it, I can see the closed eye as well as all the blacks in the gradient graphic. With PC RGB and any color space (8bit, 10bit and 12bit) I get crushed blacks - I can't see the closed eye and switching Black Level settings on my monitor won't change anything. I'm using the Xbox One X on my LG 27UK650-W monitor which supports 4K, 10-bit (8-bit + FRC) and HDR but I only use it in SDR mode because HDR makes things look worse in my opinion. So I recently just found out about the weird Xbox gamma curve which can cause crushed blacks sometimes so I decided to use the display calibration tool for the first time.
